Crescendo

Acrylic paint fused to cotton foundation; plastic and cotton/metal appliques; hand embroidery; machine quilted. Punctuated by elements depicting the insistent three four time of Ravel’s Bolero, this work is a response to the layers of mounting orchestral sound that build toward the music’s climactic crescendo.
