With Roots in the Wind

Childhood brings the freedom to live in the moment and experience fully this magical kingdom that surrounds us. Perhaps as we age, we will recapture our roots in the wind.

The world of imagination opens up when you just play and have fun with ideas. Experimenting with all sorts of materials, the artwork just evolves when you follow the “what if” thread. You never know where you’ll end up. It does, however, lead to addiction to fabric, tiles and shiny things. Infusing words or writing poems to go with the piece adds to the experience. Humour often pops up. A fugitive from the Quilt Police, I believe that creating is a journey of the spirit, a lot cheaper than therapy. It brings joy.
