Winter Came Too Soon
This piece represents snow on the fields not yet harvested as a symbol of untimely premature death of a dear friend.

Sharon Collins
I am drawn to work in textiles because it is complex, and messy, and fun. Just like life. I love the
chemistry and serendipity of dyeing fabric, and the challenge of improving on those fabrics with further
surface design. It is thrilling to see those fabrics come together to build one of my designs, and then
ultimately to add the final layer of stitch.
